Most everyone in this forum are my friends who I think could appreciate such a band. I believe that they are taking my word for the Danielson Famile being totally great even if they haven't heard them yet.

My friend Mirabai downloaded one of their songs the other day and says she was loving it. Even though she read some article about them that said that playing the Danielson Famile was a great way to get rid of dates. (of course, I totally disagree, if anything, it might be a good cd to throw in the mix to gain a more well-rounded perspective of your date's musical-taste boundaries.)

Who have they been inspired by? The only solid influence I can see is The Breeders; other than that... With the vocals, possibly Weezer, Porno For Pyros (Radiohead?). I dunno though, I'm thinking that their sound could in fact be one of the most totally individual sounds I've ever heard.

Incidentally, in the song "Singers Go First", is the line they shriek "We've got our fierce sweaters on!"? I love the way that they shriek in throughout their songs, it makes me feel like celebrating!

hi - the only influence i can remember off the top of my head is royal trux - though i think he liked a lot of steve albini-related stuff... incidentally, i think radiohead are one of the few phenomenal high profile bands that just keep getting better =^)

not sure about the lyric in 'singers go first' - maybe you're right though, cos i think they're connected with some kind of merchandise line that might possibly involve fierce sweaters =^)
